Hi Sarwar. While none of my three miniature short-haired Dachshunds have loved the rain, they all have learned to walk in it. The key for me was my attitude and not letting them refuse to go out in it. I don’t treat the rain like it’s any big deal when we head out for a walk. We get ready and start just like any other time. If one of my dogs refused to walk, I would carry them away from the house for a short distance and put them down. They would always walk back to the house on their own. I kept extending the distance I would walk away and, eventually, they learned that I don’t take no for an answer. Good luck.

I want my dog, Cherry to enjoy the rain because I remember playing with water and jumping in puddles as a child. I want to have fun that kind of fun with my Cherry too.

If I can help my Cherry adjust to being wet then we both can enjoy ourselves together. How do I help my doggie to not shy away from the rain and adjust with having wet paws?
